This 1890’s corset is made from the book, ‘Corsets: Historical Patterns and Techniques’ by Jill Salen, which I altered to fit me. 

This corset is made of 12 panels of purple silk, backed onto a heavy cotton coutil. The boning channels are sewn in a contrasting light purple thread. Taking inspiration from other corsets in the book I decided to add faux boning channels over the hips as some added decoration.
